Sharing a dream

Imagine by John Lennon

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a
  • world where war was absent, gone missing in action?
  • world where all our children were well fed and well educated?
  • circle of people around you that you know will always love and support you?
At this very moment, you have the opportunity to start creating this world and develop a community that offers others assistance and support. At this very moment, you have the opportunity to create a better life for you and your family. What are you waitng for?

Introducing Heart of Light

The Heart of Light Foundation is a non-for-profit organisation that raises and invests funds on behalf of private investors, with a view to providing supported housing for people who require assistance. The clear intention is to provide individuals and families with the knowledge and comfort that they are part of an extended community that will support them and assist in the provision of their basic needs.

The Foundation uses a financial strategy that creates significant cashflow, enabling it to be able to attract investors whom also wish to support their local community. Thus, the Foundation is able to:
  • Deliver investors returns in excess of 15% per annum
  • Acquire properties, held within the Charitable Trust, that are used to support various members of our community
  • Provide other benefits, such as covering medical costs, and enhance the quality of life for Foundation recipients
  • Achieve greater value per dollar invested
  • Actively demonstrate how acting as a cohesive community can resolve issues at an individual level in a timely and constructive manner for all parties involved.

Heart of Light is currently raising funds to purchase two supported properties in Melbourne. One of those properties will be utilised to support our first recipient, Vincent, by providing respite care. There are a number of people or purposes that are currently being considered for the second property, if you have someone whom you believe requires assistance in this manner, please contact me via email at:
heartoflightfoundation@gmail.com
and let me know of their circumstances and the nature of the assistance being sought.

If you would like to help and receive good consistent returns, the Heart of Light Foundation is always looking for investors who are looking to make a committment for 5 years. This allows the Foundation to operate in a stable environment and significantly reduces any risk attached with investing in such a project.

Vincent - our Foundation's Inspiration

Meeting Vincent

I was inspired to create this Foundation by a young man named Vincent who suffers from severe Autism and Tourette's Syndrome. I personally know his mother - Anna - a lovely woman completely devoted to the care of her son and who has never given up hope of finding a miracle cure.

Vincent is in his 30's, and requires a lot of attention on a day to day basis. The constant wear and tear of caring for him has taken its toll on his family physically and mentally, and also financially.

Vincent's parents are getting older, facing retirement and they are finding it harder and harder to care for him. Within five years they will be unable to care for Vincent and don't know what will happen to him, or them.

If things do not change, Vincent may have to move interstate to receive the care he requires. He will be away from the family and friends that know and love him. It is very hard for sufferers of Autism to deal with change, having to move interstate could severely traumatise Vincent - wouldn't it be better for Vincent and his family if we as a community could provide a home environment and the care he needs?
We can and this is what the Heart of Light Foundation intends to do with your help.

The Focus of the Foundation

"By investing in others, a small step is taken towards creating a strong, self reliant and generous community from which the ripples will touch many lives"

The Heart of Light Foundation's primary focus is to create a community that supports one another and enhances the quality of life for every person who is a part of one of our projects.

Private investment funds will be mainly be used on projects where:
  1. Individuals require a supportive environment and care similar to Vincent;
  2. Value can be obtained by assisting others to secure their home combined with financial education and a pay it forward committment; or
  3. Additional financial support is required in order to further develop the community in which they are living, such as Karuna Bali

The ripple effect will flow from those who receive help, extending their own generosity when they are in a position to do so. If we help 2 people who help 2 people who help 2 people and so forth, it grows in the following way:
2 People
4 People
8 People
16 People
32 People
64 People

128 People

You get the picture

Our current aim is to assist 62 people directly through our initial project and our continuing support of Karuna Bali will improve the lives of 60 Balinese students every year.

The Heart of Light Solution

Vincent will require professional nursing care and accommodation that is suited to his specific requirements. It is the intention of the Heart of Light Foundation to acquire a property, support it with well-invested funds, and provide Vincent with a home and ongoing medical treatment and professional care for the rest of his life. The Foundation does not believe that his family should be subject to any further financial burden to support him medically, and the time horizon to achieve this is five years.
